Hi everyone, and welcome to this short presentation on how to maximize the use of eLearning Content Libraries, getting started with LearnGxP. This presentation today is given by myself, Graham O’Keeffe, General Manager with Veeva LearnGxP and Steven St. Germain, Solution Consultant. So, why are we here? We’re here because we’ve created a library of exceptional training that will help life science professionals. So, what’s expected of a training professional today? There’s a number of things that a training profession has to do with their day-to-day activities, and we’ve created this slide to reiterate what those are. So, things like generate, review and distribute training reports, ensure that SOPs are adequately rolled out, maintaining employee training files, performing scheduling of training rooms. So, various tasks that have to happen within a training department, even before any content or training courses are created. So, as you know, a training professional is very busy on a day-to-day’s activities.

The common problems we hear from all our clients are pretty common throughout the industry, things like expecting new hires to understand complex SOPs when they just don’t have any background in an area, it’s just not good for business. So, we can roll out the complex SOP, but if somebody doesn’t have the background in that area, it’s going to be very difficult for them to understand what the SOP is about. So, for example, if you roll out an SOP on a CAPA process, that person needs to understand what a CAPA process is first of all, before they understand the nitty-gritties of the actual process itself within your organization. Also, things like we can barely handle our day to day activities, we just don’t have time to create training, our employees keep asking us for training, we just have the capabilities to do that and we need a modern way to educate our workforce.

So, if you think about and we’ve talked about this a number of times what it takes to create actually one eLearning course. So, we’ve detailed here, life cycle stage that are involved in that, so one to 12, a kind of overview of what has to happen in order to get an online course published to your workforce. So, as you can see, there’s various different stakeholders involved, subject matter experts, voice over artists, quality people, IT people, on various different review cycles that have to happen, and it’s a pretty lengthy process. So, on average about 55 days to create one course, and that’s a team dedicated to doing that. And you can see then on the right hand panel, the costs involved to do that as well. So, about $70,000 to create one course.

At the moment our library has over $12 million worth of GxP training, that can be used at any time to roll out to your workforce to keep them in compliance. It’s general overview of what we have at the moment. So, we have 170+ accredited courses, so it’s worth pointing out that we are the only online GxP training platform globally that has accreditation for our courses. So, every course in our platform, you can get a CU credit with that. We also have over 500 micro training videos, and we’ve created those micro training videos because customers have asked us for different ways to engage with the workforce, to enhance learning of shorter duration, and to continuously engage with the workforce to ensure that they are continually educated in best practices within the industry. So, this is a really great way to actually roll out shorter forms of training on a consistent basis. We also have learning paths and learning paths are our collections of courses that can be tied together so somebody can become an expert in a particular subject.

And the great thing about our platform is that it’s all a modular in approach. So, for example, you could create a learning path on introduction to GMP or a data integrity learning path, you could use some accredited courses, you could mix them with micro trainings, you could add some exams, et cetera maybe add your own specific SOPs, so tailor your learning path specific for your needs. We work with companies to devise that strategy and give them best practices on how to do that and how to use our training assets in that way. And we’re also publishing about 10 new assets every month at a platform, so our courses are being continually updated also. But also we’re actually publishing new courses every month and new micro trainings, so our library is growing fairly quickly and the quality in there is incredible in terms of how companies are using it to roll out their workforce.

The next slide is just an example of the power of one solution and what you could do with our training libraries, involved training. So, for example, here are typical curricula that we’ve just created as an example to show you that you could create a beginner track for GMP and intermediate track, or refresher track, even. So, if you look at the beginner track, what we’ve done is we’ve used two of our accredited online courses, ELM 722 and 710 about intro GMP and also the devastating effects of not following CGMP. So, those courses could be given initially, and then when those courses are finished, you could have it structured so then workforce, whoever is involved in that training track is enrolled then on the SOP specific then to their training function. Once they go through SOPs, whether they’re reading understand or there’s an exam at the end, then they’ll be enrolled in some micro trainings and the micro trainings then are those short burst of information that help a learner retain what they’ve learned previously on those courses.

And then you might finish with a final exam to actually give somebody an exam on everything they’ve learned in that curricula and signed them off then as being completed. And that’s a great way then to show an auditor that you’re actually training somebody sufficiently in their specific area of the business. And that’s something that auditor’s looking for everyday. So, what I’m going to do now is I’m going to hand over to Steven and Steven is going to provide a demo of what you’ve just seen in the last slide to show you that different type of curriculum how it actually looks and feels involved training. So, I’m going to hand it over to Steven now and thank you very much for listening.

Thanks so much, Graham. As mentioned, we’ll now take a look at the beginner track for GMP where upon logging in, we can see five training assignments, which include two full accredited online courses, three documents, a micro learning video and a quiz read from left to right. Alternatively, on the right side of the screen, we can toggle to view the assignments in a list if preferred. After logging in, we can easily access the first assignment in our begin GMP track, an introduction to GMP delivered as one of the two accredited online courses. To access the training assignment, we’ll hover over the card for more information and click begin training.

The second online course for the devastating effect of not following GMP is to the right. And we may complete this assignment in the same way. Following the completion of the two online courses will move forward to include function specific SOP training organized as a single training assignment that contains three procedures to read before signing. Once this assignment is completed, we’re able to complete the fourth training assignment, a two minute micro-learning video for information retention. In the second row, we can see the GMP beginner final exam but it is locked, hovering over the card. We can see, we must complete the previous training assignment before being able to complete the exam. This is an example of a prerequisite rule that may be added to any other training assignment in order to control the sequence of training assignment completion.

Going back to the micro learning course, a learner may navigate to the assignment or they may view the video in line before completing the training assignment by entering their e-signature and selecting complete. Following the completion of this assignment, we see the GMP beginner final exam is now available, which the learner may access to complete the exam and the overall beginner track for GMP training.
