Spreading the Word: Vault Clinical at Veeva R&D Summit
Our second annual Veeva R&D Summit was held in Philadelphia in early November. We had great participation, with more than 450 professionals attending. After an exciting opening session announcing two new products – Veeva Vault Study Startup and Veeva Vault RIM – the conference allowed attendees to select one of the following tracks in Clinical, Regulatory, Quality and Manufacturing, Vault Across the Enterprise, and Vault Platform.
It was my pleasure to lead the Clinical Track, where we heard excellent presentations from vault customers, Veeva partners, and Veeva product managers. It’s clear that technology can transform clinical operations work. Some key highlights of this transformation include:
Inspection Readiness: Inspection readiness can be a real-time effort with Vault eTMF, replacing the last minute rework scramble that often precedes inspections of paper TMFs.
Collaboration: It was exciting to hear about enhanced collaboration between sponsors, CROs, and investigators that’s possible with Vault eTMF, which provides access and visibility to shared documents, managed with appropriate security to safeguard sensitive documents and data.
Paperless TMF: We heard from C.R. Bard, who used their Veeva TMF Maturity Model analysis to build a business case, define success, and measure their progress toward achieving a fully paperless TMF in the next three years.
