Realizing the Art of What’s Possible: A Salute to Our First European Veeva Vault Heroes
Continuing from my previous blog on changing perspectives and the art of what’s possible, I would like to give tribute to our first European Veeva Vault heroes.
This is our first year to recognize Vault heroes, which we announced at our recent European R&D Forum. All customers are heroes, and we wanted to call out a few people who have really gone above and beyond on their projects. They pushed the boundaries of what’s possible and challenged conventional thinking. Each is delivering business value, proving how technology allows organizations to operate more efficiently and accelerate business growth.
Below is a short description of our 2016 European Veeva Vault heroes. In addition to a trophy, Veeva will contribute €1,000 to the charity of choice for each hero.
Paul was one of the driving forces behind the new quality document system for Aspen. What makes this story unique is that the project was undertaken at the same time that the Aspen Oss organization was separating itself from its previous owning company. This was a massive and complex undertaking with tight timelines, tight budgets, and many moving parts.
The most obvious direction would have been to carry on with the legacy quality document applications, except that nobody in the organization was happy with the usability and flexibility of the existing applications. As a result, Paul along with the Aspen team analyzed applications and after short-listing a few vendors, Aspen selected Veeva Vault QualityDocs.
Given that the Vault implementation was the first for Aspen as a separate organization, there was extra focus from senior management. The expectation was not only to implement a new quality management system but also to consolidate the many legacy sources and systems into a single application. Paul embraced the challenge and was instrumental in a very successful implementation. Additionally, Paul and his team drove a successful program to ensure user adoption.
Orit was not shy to challenge the Veeva team. Equally she and the Coloplast team collaborated with Veeva in the spirit of true teamwork. Since the implementation, Orit is willing to share ideas and is an active member in the broader Vault community. By actively sharing her experiences and insights, other users can learn from Coloplast best practices.
To me, Orit embodies one of the true differentiations of Veeva – an active, engaged user community willing to share the benefit of the industry as a whole.
Luigi is moving clinical research into the digital era. This is a sweeping mission that includes all aspects of the clinical trial process. This transformation changes how Exom collaborates with sponsors and investigators by leveraging cloud and mobile technology innovations.
By pushing boundaries, digital investigator collaboration is not a dream but reality. Investigator studies and interactions are improved and faster through cutting edge mobile technological solutions. Vault is one solution that is part of Exom's eClinical suite, delivered to investigator sites on tablets devices.
Symphogen: Michael Rasmussen, IT director
Michael is our Veeva hero from Symphogen, a young, fast growing biotech company based in Copenhagen. In 2015, Michael was instrumental in the roll out of both Vault QualityDocs and Vault Submissions to support Symphogen’s international operations. But it didn’t stop there.
The company recognized the need for a global regulatory solution given the filing of its first drug license in both Europe and the US. Symphogen became the first European Vault RIM customer so as to manage regulatory documents and data in a compliant way. In fact, the company took this decision only a couple of weeks after we launched Vault RIM. As a result, Symphogen was our first European customer using four Vault applications: Vault QualityDocs, Vault Registrations, Vault Submissions, and Vault Submissions Archive.
As Michael also wanted to know every detail of the Veeva Vault applications, he successfully participated in the Vault administration training and achieved certification status.
