Veeva Heroes: Honoring Those Accelerating Digital Engagement in This Time of Rapid Change

Each year, we honor Veeva Heroes who have gone above and beyond to enable commercial excellence within their organizations. This year we celebrated individuals from Boehringer Ingelheim, Kyowa Kirin International, LEO Pharma, Lupin, Sanofi, and UCB. They all led digital transformation projects, drove innovation, and implemented best practices to strengthen customer engagement in their companies and across the industry.

BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM (BI)
Bruce McRoberts and Alexey Medvedchikov
Bruce and Alexey enabled digital engagement between sales and HCPs before world events demanded it. They knew that remote engagement would add value to customers and be a differentiator for BI in Eastern Europe and Russia. They launched a series of pilot implementations of Veeva CRM Engage Meeting and quickly expanded to 18 markets. The company’s remote engagements increased from 6,000 in 2019 to more than 80,000 in 2020 across Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and Asia. Bruce and Alexey have shared their knowledge and best practices with other regions which has led to high praise from global sales and medical teams and, most importantly, HCPs.

KYOWA KIRIN INTERNATIONAL (KKI)

Peter’s swift action kept KKI’s HCP engagement on track when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. He led the implementation of Veeva CRM Events Management across ten European countries, helping each team adopt digital events best practices and strategies. This has created a harmonized digital landscape that allows KKI to measure event success and identify cost-saving opportunities. Thanks to Peter’s leadership, KKI’s field teams now deliver both virtual and face-to-face HCP engagements while leveraging a single source of truth for HCP information.

Federico Fanti
Federico led LEO’s “Global One Org” project to develop their global commercial strategy ahead of a major product launch. Federico and his team envisioned a single commercial platform for global CRM and analytics. A natural leader and educator, Federico worked tirelessly to implement Veeva Commercial Cloud globally. LEO is now more agile and able to make faster decisions due to global alignment and is primed for future growth.

Rosa Oliveira
Rosa led Lupin’s initiative to improve data and visibility as well as prepare for the company’s continued expansion. Rosa and her team implemented Veeva CRM, Veeva OpenData, and Veeva Vault PromoMats in three countries, with further country rollouts by the end of 2020. Regional teams now have confidence in the accuracy of their HCP data, customer activity records, and compliant content. Rosa’s dedication and expertise were instrumental to the success of Lupin’s commercial transformation.

SANOFI
Sabine Post
Sanofi needed global consistency in how they review, approve, and share content while reducing risk across the organization. Sabine led the company’s global Veeva Vault PromoMats migration to accomplish these objectives. With input from more than 100 representatives from around the world, Sabine standardized Sanofi’s end-to-end global content processes. In just one year, Sabine led Sanofi’s PromoMats implementation across 156 countries with 6,000 users.

Jürgen Kirsch
Jürgen led UCB’s early adoption of Salesforce Lightning and Territory Management 2.0 in Veeva CRM. The program delivered an experience that enables users to share information easier and take actions faster ahead of 2021 product launches. Jürgen’s in-depth understanding of Veeva solutions and extensive technical expertise enabled a swift and successful migration with minimal disruption to field teams. Now UCB can easily deliver Veeva CRM Lightning Business Apps tailored to business users based on roles and tasks. Jürgen has supported UCB in achieving a more agile and effective working environment.
