Scott Brinker writes the chiefmartec.com blog and serves as the program chair of the MarTech conference series. He also serves as VP Platform Ecosystem at HubSpot, helping to grow and nurture the company’s community of technology partners. He is the author of the best-selling book “Hacking Marketing”, published by Wiley. Previously, he was the co-founder and CTO of ion interactive. He holds degrees in computer science from Columbia University and Harvard University and an MBA from MIT.

As president of Veeva Europe, Chris is responsible for growing the business in the region.

A 27-year veteran of the life sciences industry, Chris started his career at ICI Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca). Chris then joined a start-up called Kinesis, building a team delivering document management solutions for pharmaceutical companies. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, Kinesis ultimately became PwC; Chris made partner with PwC in 2001. Chris went on to run both European and US (West Coast) life sciences business for IBM before leading the IBM global life sciences consulting Business Analytics and Optimization unit. Most recently, Chris was the lead partner for life sciences for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at EY.

Chris holds a bachelor of science degree in information technology from the University of Salford.

Samantha Knott is the Global Customer Operations Lead within Roche Global Medical Affairs. She has worked for Roche/Genentech for more than 16 years in both the UK affiliate and Global. Her background and experience span all aspects of Medical Communications including recently leading the Global Medical Information function for three years from San Francisco. In addition to her current role, Sam is co-leading Content Strategy & Management on behalf of Roche and responsible for deploying Veeva Vault PromoMats across global functions and 100+ affiliates.

Cara has nearly 30 years of experience in biotech & pharma, spanning roles across R&D, marketing, strategy, and patient access. She currently oversees operations for 13 centers of excellence, including MLR, events, copay & sampling, and multiple compliance functions.

Fabienne Vanderpoel is the Senior Director, Business Optimization at Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. She has a track record of various marketing & operations roles across products, countries, and responsibilities. Of her almost thirty years of industry experience, Fabienne spent nine years in the Asia Pacific region, in business operations and general management roles. She has worked closely with Veeva on the APAC Veeva CRM and Vault PromoMats and Brand Portal implementation.

Kasper is an experienced marketeer with a strong digital DNA. For the last 20 years, he has lived and worked across the world driving change to pharma companies and helping patients. Kasper currently leads a global team of 4 digital marketing capability leads. Together, they are pushing LEO Pharma’s Global Digital Marketing and Engagement to the next level and are implementing a Global Digital Marketing platform.

Kasper believes that pharma is only at the beginning of a transformation towards digital engagement. Proven technologies from other sectors can be used to transform the way pharma engages and create a modernized customer experience.
