Complete cloud-based solution combining customer data, software, and stewardship services announced for general availability
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Oct. 15, 2013 – With the announced release of the Veeva Network customer master solution today at Digital Pharma East, the life sciences industry now has a way to address the persistent challenge of maintaining accurate customer data. Veeva Network is the first cloud-based solution to combine healthcare professional (HCP), healthcare organization (HCO), and affiliations data with a customer master application, and data stewardship services, fully integrated with Veeva CRM. Millions of HCP and HCO profiles are continuously updated and instantly accessible to Network customers. Veeva Network has already gained traction among life sciences leaders ranging from top ten pharmaceutical to emerging biotech companies as demonstrated by their participation in the Veeva Network early adopter program.
“Veeva Network addresses the customer master problem in a completely new way,” said Dan Goldsmith, general manager of Veeva Network. “Not only do life sciences companies now have a unified solution, but they also harness the powerful ‘network effect’ of our true multitenant cloud. As users from across Veeva’s customer base update information, those updates are verified and become part of the master data repository, benefiting everyone.”
Veeva Network enables life sciences companies to replace multiple, disparate customer data sources and systems to help reduce costs, improve efficiency, and provide a single view of the customer. Through Veeva Network, life sciences companies gain access to one of the most comprehensive sources of customer data available in the industry, helping them increase sales and marketing effectiveness and strengthen compliance.
“The industry needs more than just master data management toolkits and lists of data,” said Andrew Sheely, director of information technology at Dyax. “A comprehensive solution delivered in the cloud, Veeva Network resolves the pervasive and costly customer master problem. It gives us complete customer profiles, directly in Veeva CRM, and the information is kept fully up-to-date. With Veeva Network we now have access to the high-quality customer data that is vital to our commercial operations.”
“Having clean and reliable customer data is essential, but it was a major issue for us,” said Ian Elverson, senior IT manager for Accera. “Our previous processes for managing customer master data had become increasingly overwhelming. Veeva Network puts accurate customer information right at the fingertips of sales and marketing, dramatically improving our efficiency and enabling more targeted initiatives.”
Veeva Network provides pre-built integrations to standard sources of external data, an open API, and interoperates seamlessly with Veeva CRM to bring together all relevant customer information in the cloud. It also provides users with a familiar, consumer web interface to make searching and updating master data easy.
“Veeva Network represents a significant advancement in customer data management for life sciences companies,” said Dan Power, president of Hub Designs, a master data management research and consulting firm. “Until now, the industry has struggled to compile and maintain the right customer data. With Veeva’s cloud-based customer master, this all changes. No longer are individual organizations forced to recreate the same, limited database. Through the transformative ‘network effect’ of the industry coming together in the cloud, the data gets better and better over time.”
Veeva Network is planned for general availability in the U.S. in late October 2013, with other markets to follow, and is currently available to select customers in the Veeva Network early adopter program.
