Arno Sosna

General Manager, CRM Products

Arno Sosna is responsible for the strategic direction of all Veeva CRM products. Arno and his team ensure that Veeva delivers best-in-class products for managing customer engagement across all online and offline channels, with a focus on streamlined usability, rich functionality, and end-to-end customer success. He also represents Veeva as chief technology officer of Align Biopharma, an industry standards group dedicated to improving how healthcare providers engage life sciences companies.

Arno has extensive experience as a product manager and system architect of global CRM systems, and a background in life sciences that spans Rx, OTC, and animal health businesses. Prior to joining Veeva, he worked for Update Software AG and IDS Scheer implementing CRM solutions, and previously worked as a web-based application developer.

Arno is an Austrian citizen, born in Vienna with Polish roots, living in California. He holds a bachelor of science degree in information management from the University of Applied Sciences in Eisenstadt, Austria.

Avril England

General Manager, Veeva Vault

Avril England is the general manager of Veeva Vault, a fast-growing cloud software platform and suite of applications to manage content, data, and business processes for life sciences and other regulated industries. Under Avril's leadership, Veeva Vault has grown to represent 40% of Veeva revenues.

Avril has more than 20 years of experience building and scaling product teams, including 15 years at innovative software-as-a-service companies. She was a key contributor in two successful IPOs and played leadership roles at world-class organizations including Oracle's PeopleSoft, Cisco's WebEx, and IBM's DemandTec.

Avril holds a bachelor of commerce honors degree from Queen's University in Ontario, Canada, and has received numerous professional and academic awards.

Matt Robinson

Chief Technology Officer

Matt Robinson serves as chief technology officer, supporting Veeva product teams, customers, and partners through the creation of data standards. Before Veeva, Matt was co-founder and CEO of Spreadsheet.com, a spreadsheet database hybrid used by over 1,000 customers to build custom work management solutions. He was previously senior vice president and CTO at Progress Software after it acquired Rollbase, a low-code platform for creating SaaS applications, where he was co-founder and CEO. Before that, Matt was co-founder and CEO of Recruitforce.com, a SaaS applicant tracking system acquired by Taleo.

Matt earned his master in science degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and his bachelor of science degree from Bates College.

Matt Farrell

Executive Vice President, Commercial Strategy

Matt Farrell is Veeva's Executive Vice President of Commercial Strategy. He and his team are responsible for the success and adoption of Veeva Commercial Cloud solutions for all life sciences industry segments. Matt is also the overall Vault CRM Strategy lead.

Prior to joining Veeva, Matt was a Managing Director at Accenture where he specialized in cloud-based industry solutions. He worked closely with companies such as Veeva and Salesforce as they launched new products into the market, advised customers how to maximize value out of those solutions, and led implementations to realize that value. In that capacity, he led some of the first implementations of Veeva CRM globally.

Matt graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He lives in St Louis, Missouri with his wife and 3 children.

Paul Shawah

SVP Commercial Strategy

Paul Shawah is senior vice president of commercial strategy at Veeva where he focuses on new market strategy initiatives. Paul is also the industry lead responsible for investor and financial community relations.

Before Veeva, Paul ran the life sciences industry business at SAP with responsibility for product strategy and business development for SAP solutions globally. Paul began his enterprise software career as one of the early product managers for Siebel Pharma.

Paul received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and his bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University.

Pooja Lal

Vice President, Commercial Content

Pooja Lal is responsible for commercial content strategy at Veeva including customer engagement, market adoption and direction, and strategic alliances. Pooja has more than 20 years of experience enabling life sciences organizations to establish and evolve their content businesses in highly complex environments.

Prior to joining Veeva, Pooja led the global content practice at Cognizant. She also spent 16 years at Accenture as the head of North America content services within Accenture Interactive.

Pooja holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Penn State University.

Sarah Caldwell

General Manager, Veeva Crossix Analytics

As General Manager, Veeva Crossix Analytics, Sarah is responsible for Crossix measurement & optimization and audience targeting solutions. Crossix leverages connected health data to help life sciences more effectively activate, measure, and optimize their marketing investments.

Sarah joined Crossix in 2007 and has consulted with pharmaceutical brands across various therapeutic areas and business situations, including launch and loss of exclusivity. She is a highly regarded industry thought leader and is regularly quoted in publications such as PM360, PharmaVOICE and MM&M. Sarah holds a B.S. in management information systems from Saint Joseph’s University.

Kilian Weiss

General Manager, Veeva Data Cloud

Kilian Weiss is the general manager of Veeva Data Cloud. He is responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and product excellence across Veeva's global data products.

Before joining Veeva, Kilian founded Mederi, a leading provider of global KOL data and services for life sciences companies. Veeva acquired Mederi in 2015 and Weiss joined the Veeva team to build Veeva Link.

In 2016, Kilian was named to the prestigious PharmaVOICE 100, which annually recognizes the top 100 most inspirational and influential people in the life sciences industry.

PETER STARK

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, COMMERCIAL STRATEGY

As executive vice president, commercial strategy, Peter is focusing on go to market strategy.

Peter began his career as a consultant with a focus on CRM at PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he learned how to work within large teams and what it takes to do right by your customers.

In 2010, after 8 years at Sanofi, Peter started a consulting company, Pursuit Solutions, focused on breaking down the silos between Sales and Marketing within Life Science companies to generate deeper insights for their brands.

Peter graduated from the University of Rochester and holds a degree in economics.

Dr. Christoph Bug

Vice President, Global Medical

Christoph Bug is responsible for Veeva’s global medical strategy, working to connect medical affairs more closely with key stakeholders. He previously spent over a decade at Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson where he was most recently the country medical and scientific lead and managing director for Germany. Earlier Christoph served as director of global market access innovation for Johnson & Johnson R&D in the U.S., business unit director in France and Germany, and director of health economics in EMEA.

Christoph earned his International MBA from IE Business School in Spain and his MD and PhD in medicine at Goethe University in Germany.

Andrew Fuchs

VICE PRESIDENT, COMMERCIAL STRATEGY

Andy Fuchs brings more than 20 years of life sciences experience, innovation and leadership to his current role as vice president of commercial strategy. He joined Veeva in July 2013 as part of the commercial strategy organization, focusing on the needs of consumer health and animal health markets. He has launched Veeva Nitro, Veeva Align and Veeva CRM Events Management. He currently leads the Commercial Strategy team covering Veeva’s Commercial Cloud offerings where he works with customers, partners, and product management to further develop these solutions for the market.

Prior to joining Veeva, Andy worked in various roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, finally as head of global CRM. He began his career in commercial operations for medical devices before consulting for the healthcare industry with KPMG LLP and C3i.

JIM REILLY

Executive Vice President, R&D Strategy

As Executive Vice President of R&D Strategy at Veeva, Jim is responsible for customer engagement, market adoption, and alliances. For the last 15 years, Jim has held a variety of senior positions in life sciences technology, where he has led software delivery and sales efforts in clinical operations, regulatory, clinical data standards, and content management.

Prior to joining Veeva, Jim led teams responsible for Sales and Delivery of clinical data standards and regulatory technologies at Accenture (formerly as part Octagon Research Solutions). Jim also has extensive consulting experience from his time at Octagon Research, as well as HighPoint Solutions, where he led business process improvement and technology selection programs in clinical and regulatory operations at a number of large pharmaceutical organizations.

Jim holds an MBA in Information Systems from Villanova University and a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Scranton.

Jason Methia

Vice President, Vault Clinical Operations Strategy

Jason Methia has been with Veeva for over a decade, now leading the clinical operations strategy team. Prior to joining Veeva, he was the TMF process owner at Vertex Pharmaceuticals responsible for all aspects of TMF across the organization globally. Previously he held a variety of roles ranging across clinical and regulatory operations at Pfizer, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Wyeth Research.

Jason earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Vermont and a master’s degree in regulatory affairs from Northeastern University.

Michael Jovanis

Vice President, Veeva Vault Quality

As vice president of the Vault Quality product suite, Michael Jovanis is responsible for product strategy, customer engagement, and business development. He has over 15 years in life sciences developing and designing quality solutions. Before Veeva, Mike served as vice president of product management and strategy for Sparta Systems. While at Sparta, he was instrumental in the company's rapid growth, driving product development, vertical market strategy, and strategic partner alliances. Mike received his bachelor of science degree in marketing from Rutgers Business School and an MBA in strategy and global business from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.

Marc Gabriel

Vice President, Vault Rim

Marc Gabriel leads the Vault RIM business as head of global regulatory strategy. Prior, he served as client partner and RIM consulting lead at Kinapse, now Syneos Health. Marc also spent over a decade in Accenture’s pharmaceutical R&D practice where he led global regulatory advisory, business development, and alliances. There he worked with top 20 biopharmas in various consulting and program delivery roles spanning regulatory and pharmacovigilance. Marc started his career at Merck as a systems analyst.

Marc earned his bachelor of science in computer engineering from Lehigh University.

John Lawrie

Vice President, Veeva Vault Safety

John Lawrie has nearly 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He is currently vice president of strategy for the Veeva Vault Safety. In this role, he’s responsible for product direction, customer engagement, market adoption, and strategic alliances.

Prior to joining Veeva, John led the consulting group at Octagon Research Solutions (now Accenture), which specialized in assisting clients with the planning and development of CDISC-based data and regulatory submission capabilities in order to achieve regulatory compliance while maximizing operating efficiencies. He has extensive experience with implementing globally-deployed systems using the latest available technologies. John has also worked for Computer Sciences Corporation, where he led business analysis, process design, organizational change and project management activities.

John graduated with honors from Bucknell University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

Raymond Letulle

Senior Vice President, Products, Veeva Vault CDMS

Raymond Letulle leads the development of Veeva Vault CDMS, helping customers improve data quality and speed to cut the cost and complexity in clinical trials.

Raymond brings over 25 years of experience to Veeva delivering enterprise and cloud-based software. He comes to Veeva from Medrio, Inc., where he spent the past several years as chief operating officer and head of product, owning the product roadmap and delivery of their cloud-based eClinical EDC and eSource products. Through his many years of experience, Raymond has developing firsthand knowledge of the best practices and challenges faced by product, engineering, marketing, and sales in delivering technology products to market.

Raymond holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Rice University.

Drew Garty

Chief Technology Officer, Clinical Data

Drew’s career in pharmaceutical technology spans over 20 years and includes significant experience in eClinical system architecture, design, and development, as well as process design, solution validation, and international implementation and support.

Drew spent the majority of his career prior to Veeva at PAREXEL, where he led the operational institutionalization of EDC, quickly increasing the utilization of EDC from 25% to over 95% in less than two years. Next, Drew and his team developed technology solutions in large scale partnerships and focused on driving the development and standardization of risk-based monitoring tools and techniques. Drew’s innovative solutions in risk-based monitoring earned him a prestigious industry “Clinical Innovator of the Year” award in 2015.

Drew joined Veeva in 2016 as Vice President of Product Management and led the ground-up design of Veeva’s Vault EDC solution. In his current role of Chief Technology Officer at Vault CDMS, Drew shares and collaborates with customers, partners, and the industry to set vision and direction of Veeva’s CDMS product.

Seth J. Goldenberg

Vice President, Vault Medtech

Seth J. Goldenberg is responsible for the Veeva Vault MedTech strategy, including customer engagement, market adoption, and product development. Seth has nearly 20 years of experience in supporting medical device and diagnostics companies navigate complex regulations and improve market access.

Before Veeva, Seth was the director of product development strategy at North American Science Associates (NAMSA), where he supported medical device companies from inception through commercialization and post-market activities. Seth also has experience supporting life science companies achieve their commercial goals from his time as a consultant. Outside of Veeva, Seth plays an active role in the industry, as a member of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) and as the “Entrepreneur-in-Residence” at the Philadelphia Pediatric Device Consortium.

Seth holds a doctorate in pharmacology from the University of Washington and a master’s in biomedical engineering from Drexel University.

Stan Wong

Vice President, Products, Veeva Network

Stan Wong is responsible for all aspects of Veeva Network product development including design, engineering, and support. He has over 18 years of industry experience building enterprise software.

Prior to joining Veeva, Stan was vice president of product development at Informatica and vice president of engineering at Siperian (acquired by Informatica). Stan was part of the pioneering team that developed Informatica’s MDM hub and was responsible for the core technologies used in its platform. Stan also holds a patent for MDM related data processing.

Stan started his career at PriceWaterhouse building large enterprise data warehouse systems in verticals such as financial services, oil and gas, and insurance.
Stan received his bachelor of applied science degree in systems design engineering from the University of Waterloo.
